Hi everyone!
Finally, I'm back home. I've been out for a month, went to the beach to spend my holidays.
After the SAG Awards I was completely shocked: Meryl Streep lost to Sandra Bullock. I wasn't happy, i must say. But do not missunderstand me, Sandra is a great actress...but what about Meryl? huh? I think she deserves it even more.
Anyway, she lost, and i couldn't believe it.
And now...the Oscars are coming. Can hardly wait. Just let me know if you agree with me: Meryl DESERVES to win that bloody Oscar, right? This is her 16th nomination...hasn't won one since 1982. Back then she won for 'Best Actress' in 'Sophie's Choice'. And if I look back through time, I can see she deserved quite a few. Remember 'The Bridges of Madison County'? or 'Out of Africa'? even 'The Devil Wears Prada'! And more recently 'Mamma Mia!'.
You can see now what I mean. She's been waiting for it way too long. And she's the most camaleonic actress on Earth!
I just hope the Academy people see that too.
Now, changing subjects...to people in Chile, right next to my country; you're all in my prayers. Just like people in Haiti.
Life on Earth is changing. Nature seems to be punishing us...we need to stay together, no matter what. We shall get over all of this, by conjoining our strength.
I'm glad to be back.
